Aina Bauza returns to Cádiz after her Atlantic challenge to participate in the InnovAzul 2024 Forum

The sailor Aina Bauza, who recently completed a record-breaking solo transatlantic journey from Cádiz to the Bahamas, returns to the city to take part in the Blue Zone Forum – InnovAzul 2024. This event, driven by Incubazul with the support of the Cádiz Free Zone, Telefónica, and the University of Cádiz, aims to promote the Blue Economy through technological and sustainable innovations.

During her participation, Bauza will join the panel Feeling the Oceans: The Role of Sensor Technology and Data in Nautical Sports, where she will share her offshore experiences and reflect on the impact of technology in oceanic navigation.

The Las Déferlantes Project continues serching for strategic partners

Despite securing some agreements, the team still needs additional support to begin its activities in 2025. This project, focused on promoting gender equality in sports, represents a unique opportunity to join an inspiring and transformative initiative.

Aina Bauza will attend METSTRADE 2024, the world’s leading event for the maritime industry, taking place from November 19 to 21 at RAI Amsterdam. This gathering will bring together key players in the sector, showcasing innovations in marine technology, networking activities, and specialized seminars. During the event, Aina will participate in meetings and presentations to advance the development of Las Déferlantes and explore new collaborations.

New opportunities to watch the documentary

While Aina will be in Amsterdam and Cádiz, the project will also reach the Basque Country with the screening of the documentary “The Atlantic Record: 4,525 Miles Solo – Aina Bauza”, which recounts the Mallorcan sailor’s solo transatlantic challenge. The film continues its journey through the festival circuit. The next stop will be the Sail In Festival, with screenings in Bilbao on November 21 and 22, and in San Sebastián on November 30 and December 1.
